Fat in upper and lower eyelids in the neck, over the platysma muscle, can be trimmed away or partially removed as needed. The fat pad from the cheek is known as "Bichat pad fat" and also as "Buckle pad fat", it can be removed normally in very fat cheeks. The removed fat cells will never regrow.
Most scars are hidden inside the hairline, above the ear and behind the ear. A scar is also concealed behind the ear in the crease.
In men, the scar in the front of the ear is placed next to the line of the beard, to avoid hair growth inside the ear. Men will have to shave behind the ears. In women, the scar goes inside the ear, since the do not have beards to cover the scar.

EYELID SURGERY- Puffy eyelids, whether congenital or a sign of aging, not only make you look tired but can actually reduce your field of vision. This problem can be effectively corrected through a surgical procedure called blepharoplasty, which can be performed as a separate procedure or combined with other facial surgery. This is the procedure most frequently requested by men.
During the operation, the excess of fat that produces the bulging and the surplus skin that causes eyelid wrinkles is removed through tiny incisions in the muscle in upper and lower lids. The continuity of the muscle is maintained to avoid a "surprised look".
The fat in the lower eyelids is removed through a conjuntival approach, thus avoiding destruction of the support wall, and pulling down the lower eyelid.
These delicate scars are concealed in the crease of the upper eyelid and just below the eyelashes of the lower lid. All become invisible after three or four weeks. Since the removed fat will not return, the results of such surgery are long lasting.
These procedures are performed under local anesthetic and seldom take longer than two hours. Patients are advised to remain in the hospital for at least four hours following the surgery and will be well advised to spend the night in the hospital.
The general swelling caused by working on the tissues decreases little by little, week after week, at a rate dependent on the individual's health and normal healing tendencies. Try to understand and to remember that this surgery is done in layers, so the healing process also proceeds in layers- from the bottom, under skin, between muscles or fat layers.
Wherever fat cells have been removed- face, eyes, neck, or body- by surgery or liposuction, they will never regrow in the same place. However, fat tissue remaining around the treated area or deeper under the skin may gain in size, depending strictly on the diet followed after the procedures.
Another factor affecting the reduction of swelling is motivation. The best medicine to reduce swelling is to relax as much as you can during the first two weeks after surgery. To prevent personal distress or reaction to the procedures, avoid unrealistic expectations, excess sun and lower altitudes (more swelling at sea level). And interestingly, the degree of swelling can vary on the same face from one side to the other.
